hey there…these days i use studio strobes. prior to that i used speed lights but found they didn’t have the power i needed… prior to that i used continuous lighting because using flash seemed too complicated. it is not :) I’d stay away from continuous lighting. One major problem is that you generally can’t adjust the output in the same way you can with flash. Generally speaking continuous light it’s good for video but not so much for photography.

Anyway this is the place to go for learning/discovering the ins and outs of off camera flash.
